    Parkside Artisan Market

    The Parkside Community Association is proud to announce the second annual Parkside Artisan Market series!

    This year the market will take place, one Sunday a month from May through September, will once again feature resident artisans and other high quality local companies, and is scheduled to take advantage of other neighborhood tour events. The market is free and open to the public.

    This outdoor market will be at the intersection of Parkside Avenue and Russell Street, an under leveraged pedestrian HUB in the neighborhood. With Delaware Park and the Buffalo Zoo’s packed attendance and foot traffic, and Parkside Avenues commercial spaces at this intersection, event organizers see the artisan market as tool to help to build this node up to be a vibrant, walkable, hyper local space.

    Vendor Application Information

    Please be prepared to include 3-4 pictures of your work (please include one of your display if available) and/or a link to a website/or Facebook page that includes pictures of your work.
    Applications received without some photos of your work will not be sufficient to determine the works conformity to the guidelines above and thus cannot be considered. Photos will be returned on the morning of the show.

    Vendor Application and Fee Details

    • To submit an application is FREE, with qualified vendors having a choice of paying an exhibitor fee for this year’s show at $60/per day or $250 if confirmed for all five dates. If you are a food or beverage vendor, we have flexible rates that can be a flat fee or a % of your sales made at each event date. If interested, apply and reach out to us directly to discuss this.
    • Vendors must have a NYS sales tax identification number.
    • Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for dates after the first event in May but must be received at least 10 days before the market date you are applying for to allow for processing time.
    • This will be a public event that will be aggressively and strategically publicized through a variety of media outlets by the event committee. Vendor fees will help cover the permitting costs as well as some of the marketing expenses for promoting the event, so it can remain free to the public.
    • There will be a committee of judges who will vet vendor applicants with preference given to artisans who are residents of the Parkside neighborhood. All applicants will have to sell original works of art and handmade goods.


    Show Setup, Layout and Breakdown Details

    An 10ft x 10ft space will be provided. Vendors are required to bring their own tables and chairs. Tables should be appropriately covered to the floor and all displays must be appropriate for outdoor use. Access to electricity is very limited, so availability cannot be guaranteed. If you have a specific need, please check the appropriate box on the application.
    Vendors are required to be fully set up by 9:45 AM, with access to the space available starting at 7:45 AM. Breakdown will be allowed no earlier than 3PM and is expected to take no longer than 90 minutes to fully clean and breakdown your vendor area.


    Exhibitor Selection

    Space is limited, with participation reserved for only original works of art and hand- crafted items; no imports or resellers or commercially-produced items will be accepted.
    Reproduced items must be of your own original works. Exhibitors who bring non-juried items to the show will be asked to remove them from their display.
    Selection of participants will be based on quality and diversity of work. Applications received will be considered as space is available.
