    Security Update August 14,2017

    Residents have recently reported being victims of utility company scams in our area. The authorities have been notified.  If a visitor shows up unexpectedly, confirm their identity by calling a known number for the company and asking if they sent someone. Please report any suspicious activity or crimes to the police.

    Robbery reported on Robie Street (Between Woodward Ave & Crescent Ave). Resident reports that she and another were held at gunpoint and their car stolen. Three males in hooded sweatshirts approached and one asked for directions. They appeared to be young 15-18. One pulled out a gun and remained with the victims as other two entered the car. As of three days ago, BPD reports they have arrested a juvenile from Buffalo in connection with this, and charged him with robbery – 1st – display firearm, grand larceny – 4th and criminal possession of stolen property – 5th. The other two unknown males are still at large. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call or text our TIPLINE at 716-847-2255.
