Join the Hunt in Parkside!
The Parkside Community Association is launching a Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt.
Parkside Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt
In 1886, Olmsted laid out the Parkside neighborhood as a residential buffer or transition between the jewel of his park system and the City. He mapped out gently curving streets, none leading directly toward the city, to encourage leisurely travel. Maturing trees joining boughs over the streets would quiet the sylvan neighborhood. Let’s look at Olmsted’s neighborhood through a fresh lens during the PCA’s inaugural Community Scavenger Hunt!
Because COVID-19 has again interfered with our annual Tour of Homes, the Parkside Community Association is launching a Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt game that will encourage participants to appreciate the neighborhood’s incredible architecture, rich history, and small business community.
Clue Sheets for all three games are available for purchase on the PCA’s website for $15, and the purchase includes one PCA pint glass. After purchase, participants can pick up their game packets at the PCA office on October 14, 2021, between 3-4:30 or just print out the materials and start hunting! Alternatively, contact the office at email@example.com to make an alternative arrangement. The games will run between October 14-24, 2021. Completed Clue Sheets must be submitted to the PCA office no later than 7:00pm on October 24, 2021. The top three submissions for all three games will receive a prize—so nine prizes total—with ties broken by random drawing.
