A few years ago, our brother, son, dad, friend, and neighbor Elias had been diagnosed with diverticulitis, a gastro-intestinal condition which affects the colon. Under normal circumstances, it can be managed with a good diet, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

This past August, Elias experienced severe abdominal pain, which ended up causing serious damage to the sigmoid colon. After a back and forth with emergency rooms, doctors, and treatments, the decision was made to remove the diseased section. A second surgery to reattach the colon is due in late November, with a recovery period extending through the remainder of the year.

The procedure has left Elias unable to work. As a self-employed individual in the concert production business, the inability to earn income has created a financial burden for the family, with mounting medical bills added to daily routine expenses.

We, the family and friends of Elias are organizing a benefit event to help ease the financial burden that has presented itself at this time. We are looking to help the family get through the next few months until he is healed and able to go back to his work.

This gathering of loved ones will take place on November 11, 2018 at the Parkside Meadow, in Buffalo’s beautiful and historic Parkside neighborhood. The event asks for a $25 donation, and will include food, and an open mic, featuring many from Elias' musical family. There will also be a silent auction, raffles, 50/50, and a cash bar.

Join us, family, friends, and musicians alike. You can purchase tickets at the Parkside Meadow and other locations to be announced soon!
