Ruth Lampe, pictured left of center, with past Presidents of the Parkside Community Association in 2013.

The Parkside Community Association is honored to announce a sign dedicated in memory of Parkside community activist, Ruth Lampe. The sign will be fittingly displayed at the corner of Parkside and Florence Avenues. She served for decades as a PCA board member, Chair of the PCA Traffic Committee, and volunteer—earning the nickname “Deputy Dog”. In her tireless efforts to improve the safety in the Parkside Neighborhood, Mrs. Lampe was instrumental in securing the light at the intersection. An unveiling of the sign will take place at noon on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Please join us in honoring Mrs. Lampe and her contributions to making Parkside a better place for all of us to live, work and play.
